Last week I made my first trip to the New York Comic Con and I had a really good time. I don't lack for great comic events in my home town of Toronto what with the excellent TCAF show now being held on an annual basis and numerous other events year round throughout the city. Still I had always wanted to attend one of the bigger shows like New York or San Diego. As luck would have it, my cousin scheduled his wedding in Manhattan for the same weekend as Comic Con so my opportunity had finally arrived.
Having a wedding (and other wedding related events) going on forced me to limit my time at the Comic Con and I have to say that that was probably for the better. Wandering around the Javits center for 8 hours a day in those crowds could drive you crazy. I think I enjoyed things a lot more simply by having a small number of goals, doing everything I set out to do and enjoying the city outside of the Con.

Belize Trip
So I just got back from a week in Belize (I'm continuing my alphabetical travelling list having just visited Belgium in October, next stop Benin, Africa).
It was an amazing trip. Belize is an eco-tourist's paradise. Lots of outdoor activities, jungles, rainforests, caves, ancient cultures, great diving and snorkeling. I got a lot done in only one week including a few goals that have been on my must-do list for several years now.
